Of the three main ones I know of, the 44sq ft lateen is the least effective, but adequate. So it might be helpful to query the guy and see if you can determine what it is. He knows more about Grumman sail rigs and accessories than anyone I can think of. Looks like you need to open an account at Photobucket and upload your pics. Its a buggy site with lots of advertising, but pretty easy to upload stuff. Once you do that, come back here and Ill try to confuse us both and get your pics to show - if I remember from day to day. The foot of a mast needs to be strong to take the side forces imposed on it, so epoxy alone may not do the trick.
